George and Cindy Anthony hold yard sale, sell Caylee's toys (videos)

On June 28, 2013, Florida resident Christina Werner noticed a  yard sale at a seemingly familiar home. On closer inspection, she realized the people holding the yard sale were none other than George and Cindy Anthony, parents to acquitted murderer Casey and grandparents to Caylee. Caylee Anthony was reported missing on July 15, 2008, her mother hindered the investigation into her whereabouts by repeatedly lying to authorities saying the soon-to-be three-year-old had been abducted by a nanny. Meter-reader Roy Kronk found Caylee Anthony's remains on Dec. 11, 2008. Her mother was later tried for her murder, but acquitted.

George and Cindy Anthony were at the front and center of the investigation and search for Caylee. By the time the case went to trial, George Anthony had been identified as someone who had covered up Caylee's death. To this day, George Anthony has denied any involvement in his granddaughter's death or its coverup.

Werner told Radar Online that when she noticed the people holding the yard sale were George and Cindy Anthony she made contact with them. Turns out, the
grandparents were selling many of their granddaughter's toys. While some might have mixed feelings about George and Cindy Anthony letting some of these toys go, it should be pointed out that Caylee has been gone for five years. Werner said she spent approximately two hours speaking with George and Cindy, whom she described as having tension between them.

“They were very friendly and warmed up to me, but I think it’s because they felt I did not know who they were. I spent almost two hours with them that day,” Werner stated. She also explained how she discovered Caylee's toys for sale as well as some of Casey Anthony's belongings.

“I ended up finding items of Caylee’s that seemed to be mixed up with other things. I also found pants and purses of Casey’s.

Speaking of how George and Cindy interacted with one another she stated, "They would get into little arguments throughout the time I was there. Cindy definitely controls everything in that family, for sure!”

Casey Anthony Liar: True Crime with Aphrodite Jones focuses on Casey's lies

Aphrodite Jones has returned for a new season of her show that airs on Investigation Discovery, but her big show may be the Jan. 14, 2013, airing of an episode focusing on Casey Anthony.

Check out a preview of "Casey Anthony Liar" where Aphrodite Jones focuses on Casey Anthony's numerous lies to authorities. Criminal defense attorney Jose Baez weighs in.

Casey Anthony: Appeals heard, no decision handed down yet

On Jan. 8, 2013, criminal defense attorneys representing Casey Anthony appeared at the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Daytona Beach, Florida to appeal Casey Anthony's four, misdemeanor convictions of lying to law enforcement officers. At issue is whether Casey Anthony was aware she wasn't officially under arrest at the time she made statements regarding the whereabouts of her daughter Caylee. Casey Anthony did not attend the appeal.

It was also noted that officers didn't read Casey Anthony her Miranda rights at the time she made false statements to law enforcement. Lisabeth Fryer stated that because the statements were made during a continual, time period, Anthony was overcharged.

It could take between a week to several months before a decision is rendered.
